Until recently the MOD and forces in general have been pretty shit at tackling mental health issues, most notably PTSD. So it's positive to see them taking some concrete action, with today's launch of a new helpline for forces personnel.

The helpline itself will be run by "Combat Stress" who are much better than the MOD in general at supporting people, but importantly, this helpline is also open to families/partners of forces personnel. It's a bit weird to share something official given the MOD's history with mental health, but the fact that they're delivering this in partnership with an experienced charity makes it look like it's going to be a better plan than we're used to.

So yeah, please share, get the word out, this resource is there, if you're serving, or are struggling with issues related to someone else's service, this helpline is for you, and you are entitled to make use of it, and look after yourself.

The number is: 0800 323 4444.
